(7) Basketball Soccer Kick Kicks

Image
August 19th, 2019 Hi! Welcome back readers. Shoes. Basketball shoes and soccer cleats. Today I'll discuss some of my top 2 favourite picks for shoes and cleats as well as mention some shoes that have been game changers for the sneaker culture.  Basketball shoes: ( Source: https://sneakerbardetroit.com/kawhi-leonard-new-balance-omn1-release-date/ ) While in my tenure as a bandwagon fan for the Toronto Raptors and fan of Kawhi Leonard, I started to pay close to attention to New Balance. The shoes, the clothes and other accessories. These shoes pictured above are a good way to kick of some of my favourite basketball kicks. Coming in at number 4 there's the OMNI1s by New Balance. The black, blue, and red colour and 3 additional colour schemes of the shoe are really appealing to the eye. You can take a look at those in the link at the source of the shoes, if you're curious. I think that with any basketball shoe, there must be a story behind the origins of the

(6) Superheroes and Supervillians

August 16th, 2019 Hello, welcome back! The topic for today will be about superheroes and supervillains from the comics, movies, video games and listing 2 of each, which are my favourite and why I like them. Let's dive right into todays discussion. PSA: If you have not seen Endgame, you have been warned. In one of the pictures for the superheroes the link gives away one of the small spoilers from the movie. Supervillains: ? (Source: https://www.insider.com/avengers-infinity-war-who-is-thanos-2017-11 ) "I am inevitable." Does this quote ring any bells? Or when this villain said, " I know what it's like to lost. To Feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fall nonetheless. It's frightening. Turns the legs to jelly. I ask you, to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here. Or should I say, I am." If you haven't guessed already from the picture above and the quotes, I'm referring t

(5) Food for Thought

August 14, 2019 Hello, welcome back to Paul Goes in Depth. Today, I'll focus on different foods that I love to eat. Here we go! Just as a disclaimer: I am not a professional food critique. These are just a set of my opinions/ personal preferences that I have picked up for a little while. Please keep in mind. Thank you! Burgers: (Source: https://www.muscleandfitness.com/flexonline/nutrition/fast-food-shakedown-five-guys ) 5 Guys presents filling, delicious cheese burgers that could paint pictures like Picasso and more. I remember my first time eating there. Going with my buddy Reynaldo. He gave me tips on how to order and what to expect so by the team we reached we could both be ready to order and take in all of the 5 Guys experience. I ordered at Cheeseburger combo, with large Cajun fries and large drink. Along with my order, I also picked up a box of peanuts. Reynaldo ordered a Cheeseburger combo, medium fries, medium drinks and grabbed some peanuts as well. Luc

(4) Time, Time and Time after time

August 12, 2019 Welcome back to the blog! Today, time is what will be discussed on. Let's get things rolling!!!! ( Source: http://mentalfloss.com/article/62725/15-things-you-didnt-know-about-persistence-memory ) Time. Today is Monday, August 12, 2019. If I told you that there were 142 more days til New Years Day, January 1st, 2020, for some of you, that might seem something to worry about. That terrifies me. I have so much that I want to do, movies I want to see, people I want to hang out with, activities that I would love to do. On the other hand, I also see this as an opportunity. There are 142 more days that I can use to improve. Whether it be, goals that I want to accomplish by the time the new year arrives or preparing for school in September. I always try to have new year resolutions and more often times than not, either I completely forget about them, look at it but, don't act on it, or procrastinate and maybe do one or two things from my list. New years

(3) Sports and Spiritual Journey

Image
August 9, 2019 What it do, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome back to the blog!! Todays topics will cover: my spiritual journey, and sports. Lets get it started. Spiritual journey: ( Source: https://www.azquotes.com/author/663-Saint_Augustine ) My spiritual journey as a Catholic is ongoing. Yes, there are spiritual highs and lows but, what I strive to do is to find a balance that will help me feel sustained and will encourage me to continue the journey. Some examples of when I experience or go through a spiritual high include: after Youth For Christ events (Regional Youth Conferences, Youth Power, True North Conferences, as well as North Chapter Assemblies and Collectives.) Also sometimes after going for mass. At these YFC events, it is so easy for me to feel good in a space spiritually when there are other people around me who may be experiencing the same thing but, maybe for better reasons than why I feel good. During worships, when certain songs are played by the music

(2) The Next Step: Music. Social Media

Image
August 7, 2019 Welcome back to the blog! Today, I will write on social media and how it effects adults and teens, and what music I've been listening to and more details about that. Here we go!! Social Media: (  https://theconversation.com/four-ways-social-media-platforms-could-stop-the-spread-of-hateful-content-in-aftermath-of-terror-attacks-113785 ) Social media. Nowadays, it is so easy for everyone to use. From babies, to kids, to teens to adults. What happened to being present? When was the last time you went somewhere without asking for wifi? Being present is, when you are somewhere occupying space (your body),  your thoughts, what you feel and ideas that you share match the energy with those around you or are aligned with yourself when reflecting (your mind), smiling, laughing giving attention to people who are around you whether you're reminiscing, planning or talking about situations that are happening right here right now (your soul.) When on social

(1) Pilot: Introduction

August 5th, 2019 Hello, my name is Paul. Welcome to my blog. In this blog, I will share a little bit about myself, how my summer 19 has been so far, and discuss sports and music. Let's jump right in!!! I am 22 years old, I'm a Roman Catholic, I am the oldest of 2 siblings, I grew up in Vancouver, New Westminster, and Burnaby, I love to play and watch basketball, and soccer and I'm into watching TV series/shows such as The Office, Suits, Euphoria and Narcos just to name a few. Summer 19, well half of my summer consisted of working, volunteering at different events, playing basketball, soccer, ultimate, and running. Each day I would always try to do something new and something that challenged me in a good way. To push limits. Explore, learn and grow. I found myself being lazy at times, staying home, struggling to finish Spider-man on Ps4 or on that NBA 2k18 grind on my Player, or my league/season. I mean there's nothing wrong with that I guess. It's always nice
