(4) Time, Time and Time after time
August 12, 2019
Welcome back to the blog! Today, time is what will be discussed on. Let's get things rolling!!!!
Time. Today is Monday, August 12, 2019. If I told you that there were 142 more days til New Years Day, January 1st, 2020, for some of you, that might seem something to worry about. That terrifies me. I have so much that I want to do, movies I want to see, people I want to hang out with, activities that I would love to do. On the other hand, I also see this as an opportunity. There are 142 more days that I can use to improve. Whether it be, goals that I want to accomplish by the time the new year arrives or preparing for school in September. I always try to have new year resolutions and more often times than not, either I completely forget about them, look at it but, don't act on it, or procrastinate and maybe do one or two things from my list. New years resolutions are good ways to look back on the year and see some of the accomplishments that you were able to complete. I think what I will do for next year, is not worry too much about making new years resolutions but, rather make a list of daily, weekly and monthly goals, write them down in a journal and keep track or get help from a friend to help my keep track.
I find that it is easy to procrastinate and be motivated and go out and do what you've planned to do throughout the week. What I find helpful is having a schedule on my phone, on my notebook and planning what I want to do, when I want to do it, and always making sure that I will have enough time to go home at a reasonable time. Most of the time I am not that successful. Going for performances and then sneaking in at two or three o'clock in the morning sucks. It sucks because I'll probably not have the best sleep, and depending on what I have scheduled to do the next day, it becomes difficult to stay awake and be present mentally and physically.
A song from Willow Smith's album, WILLOW called Time Machine is a really good song to vibe to. I had some time to think about it. If I were to go back in time, the things that I would do, people I would meet and places I would travel to. One time period that I would honestly love to experience is when Michael Jackson was performing the Bad tour in 1988. I can only imagine the electric atmosphere from the fans, the crazy energy from Michael and his band. I would go to Vatican City to see the Sistine Chapel shortly after it was created in 1508.

Time is something not to take for granted. It can be easy to feel rushed or feel like you have all the time in the world to do something but, do what's best for you and find time to do activities or look for hobbies that allow you to relax and have fun. 2020, may seem like far away or closer than it appears but, remember that you are in control of the forces that you can control. The weather, the way people react and time are things that we have less control over and its important to act accordingly and have a plan. What can I do now to prepare? Who am I going to see today? How much time will it take for me to reach where I want to go? Where can I find the right books that will help me grow? These questions may or may not apply to you, and the things that you do everyday, but, hopefully it can help you, challenge you to start asking the right questions, invite you to have conversations with your friends, families and others and give you time to be the best you can be.
Well thats my time for this blog. I appreciate you, taking the time to read this blog, thank you! Tune in on Wednesday for another edition of Paul Goes in Depth. So, until then.
